Mandala

Good evening and hello to the new followers!

Again the internet has been a great source of inspiration. And again this is very addictive. I’m participating in a Mandala crochet along hosted by Marinke at a creative being. The pattern is form CAROdesign, well written and easy to follow as it has both charts and photograhs too. You can find it here: Maybe you want to join in the fun.

Mandala häkeln macht süchtig. Noch eine Runde, noch eine Runde, noch eine Runde, denn ich will ja sehen, wie sich die Farben zusammen präsentieren und sich das Mandala entwickelt.

Ich wollte eigentlich zwei Mandalas parallel häkeln, das neu Gelernte gleich vertiefen, aber einerseits ist das Muster so genau erklärt, gezeichnet und auch fotografiert, dass das gar nicht nötig ist. Andrerseits ging es mir einfach zu langsam vorwärts. Zudem kann ich dann das zweite Mandala ohne grosse Mühe in anderen Farben gestalten, denn ich weiss dann ja jetzt, wo’s lang geht. Schön ist, dass ich Rico creative cotton in vielen verschiedene, wirklich schönen Farben, vor langer Zeit gekauft, gebrauchen kann. Leider spaltet sich das Garn sehr gerne, was das Häkeln ein bisschen mühsam macht. Tissa-Garn von Lang bleibt mein Lieblingsgarn in dieser Dicke.

I’m using Rico creative cotton Aran and a 4mm hook. I’m very happy to have finaly found a project to use the yarn as I had bought it a while ago. I’m not at all fond of the yarn because it is very splitty. I’d rather crochet with Lang yarns Tissa. However, It is reasonable to bust your stash. And I must say that the colours are beautiful.

Now I have to leave you and go back to round 13 of the Overlay Mandala no. 1.

Sodeli, nun muss ich zurück zu meinem Mandala. Rund 13 ist in gelb. Mal schauen, wie weit ich heute Abend noch komme.
