First thing this morning wasn’t a coffee. No, I went outside still in my pyjamas to cut some red roses because I thought they might be a lovely accessoire for my finished red cardigan. They are, aren’t they? The red of the cardigan is a bit warmer than in the pictures.
The simple cardigan (free lionbrand pattern) was a nice knit although a bit boring after I had finished the yoke. However it’s the perfect project to keep the hands busy while watching a movie and prevents me from biting my finger nails.
I knitted the cardigan in xxl and added a few rows to the yoke because I used a much thinner yarn. Fortunately, the cardigan turned out the right size.
Gut geraten.
Now, it’s coffee time!
Those roses are so beautiful! And the cardigan is stunning. Won’t you model it for us?
My husband is so busy I just can’t bother him with my „stuff“. Wish you a nice weekend!
It’s a lovely knit, and a great summer style and colour. Pretty roses too 😀
Beautiful colour and really nice knit. Those roses are the perfect photo prop, too!
The rose is perfect for your lovely cardigan, the colour is great, really warm and vibrant.
I love the pictures of the roses against your lovely red cardigan. Such a beautiful shade of red, too!
Didn’t you just start this? Wow those fingers were flying! I love the short sleeves and longer length. I hope it make you bright and cheery every time you wear it! Happy weekend!
The flowers were the perfect touch! It looks wonderful!
Regina
The roses are beautiful but nothing compared to the beautiful cardigan. Great job.
Hugs,
Meredith
I love the simple cardi, sometimes the simpler the better. Your roses are amazing.

I have nominated you for a Sunshine Award (more info on my Blog).

Beautiful roses! great compliment for the sweater.
Very lovely. It looks like a definite wardrobe staple. I wish you better luck on your next Lion head. I think that you’re changes made him look good and what a compliment that your colleague wants one too. Have a great weekend.
Those roses are the perfect accessory. That’s my morning routine too – outside to survey the garden, see what’s blooming and what will be blooming shortly, and then COFFEE!
The cardi might not have been the most exciting knit, but it looks very pretty and you’ll probably get lots of wear from it!
The color is very beautiful and the cardigan looks most practical and wearble!
Love it. ♥ It’s really sad how to projects that are the most boring to knit end up being so very wearable and desirable.
offen getragen, keine Knopflöcher also auch keine Knöpfe. Simpel = simple
The roses are perfect! Love the cardigan! I think sometimes more boring projects are just what I need. Like you say, they keep the hands busy!
Lovely and the roses are pretty too 🙂
Have a great day
