Sidetracked again. But I loved the pattern from the beginning probabely because of its name. I’m testknitting for Sandra from sandra strickt. She created this loop for a charity project in Mannheim, Germany, hence the name „Mannheim Loop“. And yes, I am able to knit black although it may be a bit unexpected for my readers. 🙂
I’ve been in Mannheim with my husband once. We spent the evening in the city before we flew to Halifax some years ago. We had a frugal dinner and went for a beer in a restaurant on top of a tower. The view down onto the place was really lovely. As it was summer, people went by in summer and holiday mood. Sandra, do you know the place?

Mein Mann und ich waren vor ein paar Jahren einmal in Mannheim, bevor wir von Frankfurt aus direkt nach Halifax flogen. Zuerst gab es ein einfaches Nachtessen, dann gingen wir auf Erkundung der Stadt und landeten schliesslich in einem Restaurant / einer Bar auf einem Turm, von dem wir eine nette Aussicht auf den Platz unten hatten. Alle Leute waren in Sommerferienstimmung.
Der Mannheim Loop wächst schnell. Das Muster ist einfach und ideal für Anfängerinnen im Zopfmuster Stricken. Ihnen würde ich allerdings eine hellere Farbe empfehlen. Eben hat noch die Sonne geschienen, wie ihr auf dem Bild sehen könnt. Während ich diese Zeilen schreibe, kracht und donnert es draussen. Es schneit. 🙂
