Die Fadenspulen sollen mich daran erinnern, dass … Aber eigentlich bin ich sehr ordentlicher Mensch und störe mich an herumliegenden Dingen. Nun haben die Fadenspulen ein Heim gefunden, ohne dass ich sie und den Grund, warum sie hier liegen, vergessen kann.
For ages some of my thread spools have been laying on my desk gettind dusty by the time. However, I don’t dare put them away because they are reminders of one of my wips (the cupcakes). Being a very organized person I’m iritated by those threads. Gladly, I have found a nice home for them without forgetting about them and the reason why they are here.

Füllmaterial, entweder abgeschnittene Wollenden von Strickarbeiten oder Stopfwatte, eine runde Kartonscheibe, geschnitten aus einer leeren Kartonverpackung) etwas kleiner als der Durchmesser des Deckels. Nadel und Faden, Leim, der Stoff auf Karton klebt und Kontaktkleber, um das Nadelkissen auf den Metall- oder Platikdeckel des Glases zu kleben.
You need an emty jar to make a container for threads and a little scicor as well combined with a pin cushion. Furthermore you need a round piece of cardboard a little bit smaller than the lid of the jar, a round piece of soft and thin fabric (7 cm wider than the cardboard), stuffing either ends of yarn or synthetic and suitable glue for either cardboard – textiles and textiles – metall or plastic.

Zuletzt das Nadelkissen auf den Deckel kleben und gut andrücken. Ich habe dazu Kontaktkleber verwendet. Im Glas hat nun sogar noch eine kleine Fadenschere Platz. Ein Nähzeug, das Ordnung schafft und bereit ist zum Mitnehmen. Wäre das, gefüllt mit schönen Stickgarnen, nicht auch ein nettes Geschenk für eine Stickerin?
Finally glue the pin cushion onto the lid using a suitable glue. Wouldn’t this be a nice gift for an emboiderer if I filled it with thread an a tiny scissor?
