Who would have guessed that a sturdy rice bad would fall into weak stipes of plastic when cut? I wouldn’t. Therefore my lunch bag project wasn’t as easy as expected. However, after a change of plan I got it right.
Was vorher eine stabile Reistasche war, löste sich in schmale, schwache Plastikstreifchen auf, als ich die Teile für meinen Lunchbag zuschneiden wollte. Wer hätte das gedacht! Jedenfalls war das kleine Projektchen dann ein bisschen komplizierter, als erwartet.
I chose fabric for the bottom of the bag so at least one piece wouln’t frazzle. Because it is round shaped, I had to do the math:

The „Siam Patna Reis coaster should make the bottom stiff. I zigzaged it before I cut it ot keep it from falling apart.
Damit wenigstens ein Teil nicht ausfranste, wählte ich für den Boden einen stabilen Manchesterstoff. Das runde Teil, das besagten Stoff abdeckt und der Tasche Halt geben soll, habe ich dann zuerst gezickzackt und erst nachher ausgeschnitten. So klappt es besser! Die Kreisformel, von der ich noch die Bestandteile U und r und π kenne, muss ich jedesmal nachschauen.

Et voilà: Der Kreis passte perfekt ins Taschenteil.
