4500 Bücher? Nein! – Book Folding

Nein, ich will keine 4500 Bücher besitzen, dazu habe ich einfach nicht das passende Haus. Zudem ist nicht jedes Buch ein Lieblingsbuch. Und Bücher veralten, nicht alle sind Klassiker und unsterblich. Und ich werde auch älter. Nachdem mir die Liebesgeschichten verleidet und die Krimis zu grässlich sind, habe ich meinen Fokus auf Tierbücher und Lebensgeschichten gewechselt.

Im Moment also will ich Bücher los werden, nur waren die Brockenhausangestellten gestern richtig kritisch, so dass ich von meinem vollen Sack einen Viertel wieder nach Hause nehmen musste. Die Kriterien sind mir nicht ganz plausibel …

Anyway, ich habe also genug Material, um noch ein Huhn zu falten (hier geht es zur bebilderten Anleitung). Es wird ins Osternest für eine Freundin gestellt werden. Und dann habe ich da noch eine Faltanleitung für ein Schaf gefunden. Doch davon ein anderes Mal.

Yesterday I met a man who told me he had 4500 books at home and nobody to hand it over when he would die. He said he needed a bigger house. Oh my god!

I don’t want another house and therefore have to get rid of books. You know, not every book turns out to be a favourite or a classic. There are quite some books I would not read a second time or recommend to others. There are books that are old-fashioned, for example the roles of husband and wife or the goals of people have changed, the way children behave isn’t the same anymore. Even in thrift stores they don’t take all kinds of books. When I came home yesterday,  I had still some books in the bag (don’t ask me what the criteria were). 

Anyway, I have material to fold another chicken. It’s going to be in the easter nest for my friend Lucia. I’ve also found the instructions for a sheep. But that’s worth another blog post.
