Zwar ist schon der September fast zur Hälfte vorbei, aber es macht Spass auf den August zurück zu schauen. Er war lang und heiss. Voll der Sommer. Und soviel ist viel passiert! Ich erinnere mich an meine Ankuft in Montreal und die erste Unterkunft und den Umzug zu Maryse. Dann das erste Wochenende in der Metropole, gefolgt vom ersten Schultag.
We are in the middle of September already, but I like to look back into August, which was long and hot and full of events and pleasures. I remember the arrival in Montreal and my first location. After three days I moved in with Maryse and spent the first weekend mingling with the tourists. Then the first day of school.
In meiner Freizeit, wenn die Hausaufgaben erledigt waren, habe ich die Ruhe in den Parks genossen und das eine oder andere gewerkelt. Obowhl hier offenbar niemand an der Nationalspeise, genannt Poutine vorbei kommt, habe ich lieber Kaffee von Tim Hortons (gegründet vom ehemaligen Hockey Spieler gleichen Namens) getrunken und Ahornsirup (das Originalrezept wurde von den Natives überliefert) verkostet.
In my free time after finishing the homework, I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the parks and had time to craft a bit. Although everybody wants to taste poutine, a national dish, I’d rather drink coffee at Tim Hortons‘, established by a the famous national Hockey player, and sweetend my pan cakes with mapel syrup also a produce associated with the Québecois.
