Friday – Mandala – Freitag

 

Ein bisschen kommt es mir vor, als würde ich mit Wolle malen. Die Wolle ist die Farbe, die Häkelnadel der Pinsel. Ich rühre in den Farbtöpfen, suche Kontraste, wähle aus und verwerfe wieder. Mittlerweile sind die Runden länger geworden, so dass es kleine Farbreste nicht mehr tun.

I feel like a painter using yarn and hook instead of paint and brush. There are many colours to chose from in my basket. In the beginning I could use scraps, but recently, I need bigger balls. 

 

Anfangs war die Farbwahl noch einfach. Es war auch keine grosse Sache, ein paar Runden aufzuribbeln. Jetzt überlege ich länger, bevor ich loslege. Schwierig ist, weil ich nicht weiss, wie das Muster weitergeht, denn es enthüllt sich Teil um Teil.

At first, I found it easy to choose a colour starting with a little bit of white, yellow and pink. But now I try several times before I am certain. It’s quite challenging to choose if you don’t know what comes next, how the pattern will unfold. There is only one part a week. Will it be a flower, a star? Where are the peaks? How big will the petals be? 

Mit einem Schwänzchen weiss, einem Restchen gelb und ein bisschen pink war die Blütenmitte schnell gehäkelt.

 

Die lachsfarbenen Punkte? Na ja, ich weiss nicht, ob ich nochmals gleich entscheiden würde. Aber vielleicht kann ich die Farbe nochmals aufnehmen?

I don’t know whether I chose the salmon again. I might take it up later again. But yes, I like the yellow. It will be fine, I’ll show you. 

Der sechste Teil kommt jetzt in gelb-hellgelg. Doch, das wird gut, ich werd’s euch zeigen. Und nachher pink-rosa, hellblau-blau oder grün?

Helen sagt, ein Drittel sei geschafft. 🙂 Nein, schwierig ist es nicht, obwohl ich manchmal fast verzweifeln könnte, weil ich mich schon wieder verzählt habe oder im Text suche, wo ich eigentlich war …
