Halifax – Dieses Kistchen ist Gold wert – My Precious Box

Man würde nicht glauben, dass ein paar Fäden, auf gut Schweizerdeutsch Biiwüläli oder Fächtli, wertvoll sein können. Dank diesem Kistchen habe ich schon manchen Gang in die Stadt und auch ein paar Fränkli gespart.

WoWould you believe that a box of scraps is worthwhile? In fact these scarps have saved me a lot of time, fuel and money. 

Viele Sockenwollen haben kein Extra Beigarn, ohne dass ich keine Ferse und kein Schlussabnehmen stricke. Eigentlich immer finde ich in meiner Box ein passendes, und so sind die Socken dann jeweils schnell fertig gestrickt. Da meine Socken nur einen Zweck erfüllen, nämlich meine Füsse warm zu halten, stört es mich nicht, wenn der Farbton ein bisschen daneben liegt.

There are many balls of sock yarn that do not have an additional thinner thread. I will never knit a heel without it. So it comes in very handy to brows through my stash. I don’t mind putting up with a colour that is not the perfect match as my socks have only one purpose, to keep my feet warm. 

Wo ist es auch kein Problem, dass Halifax von Buttinette kein Fächtli hat. Ich kann sogar auswählen. Aber jetzt gehe ich erst mal zur Abschlussfeier in der Schule, bevor ich die Stricknadeln spitze.

So it’s no problem that Halifax hasn’t the little spool inside I love so much. Which one to take? I’d rather have no choice. 🙂 But firstly, I’m going to school, celebrating winter solstice or what ever until I can sharpen my knitting needles.
