Stormy weather for the last few days. The wind shakes the branches of the tree. There are walnuts everywhere! Lots and lots of walnuts. Pling! Pling! Plong! The sound of the falling nuts onto the car keeps me from sleeping. I always forget to park next to the shed.
Pling! Pling! Plong tönt es die ganze Nacht, wenn der Wind bläst und die Äste zum Tanzen und die Nüsse zu Boden bringt. Ich liege im Bett und höre sie fallen. Mensch, schon wieder vergessen, das Auto neben dem Schopf zu parkieren. Ich nehme es positiv: Musikalischer Erntesegen.
We had this many nuts years ago. The heat and draught haven’t done damage to our giant walnut tree.
